Bought a Davis WeatherLink Live (WLL) the other day, wanted to set up a dedicated "development" rPi to play with. rPi 3+ with SSD boot. Encountered several issues but after a while got it up and running. Currently CMX 3154.
The biggest issue was the WLL, took several days to figure out why CMX wouldn't have any data to display. Davis WeatherLink site shows connectivity etc, I knew it had to be a CMX setting that I had wrong and I finally found it , the detail in the options available due to the thoroughness and hard work of Mark I finally found the "sensor #" settings. My ISS is all #2, CMX is #1 by default.
Anyway, just stumbled upon a blog about Debian Buster upgrade to "Bullseye". Well followed the guide I had stumbled upon, that is very straight forward, cut and pasted and reboot and viola CMX working and no issues so far (2 hours).

Over the years I've searched for solutions for various tasks, some solutions have been OK for me others not.
This is why I did ask for the link

A great rPi source of development is Jeff Geerlinghttps://www.jeffgeerling.com/blog. His blog is all business, no sales/promotion. He looks at just about everything rPi.

Re: Raspberry oS "Buster" to "Bullseye"
At a quick glance, if you're using your pi as a server and setting up 'nginx' and PHP on Bullseye it looks like anyone who tries will be a "pioneer". Early attempts have proved problematic!
While looking on the raspberrypi.com forum found this:
Another issue gathering a fair amount of discussion is a "low voltage warning" constantly being noticed on the desktop but most "headless" users are unaware.

From https://forums.raspberrypi.com/viewtopi ... l#p1938609Top reasons to NOT move to Bullseye
1) Everything is working OK on Buster
2) Wait until Bullseye any major issues are identified/resolved/worked round (say 3 months from general release)
Also are you using the OS as a desktop or server?
Servers generally favour stability over innovation. If its mission critical then upgrades are problematic especially if you you need to maintain a 24/7 service. I tend to skip a release for servers - ie re-installing rather than upgrading every four years to maximise length within the LTS 5 year envelope. So Jessie went to Buster, Stretch to Bullseye and Buster will go to Bookworm. The major Bullseye enhancement for webservers is probably php 7.4 over 7.3. But you can install 7.4 alongside 7.3 if needed.
