CUMULUSUTILS
Hi
I try since hours to get Cumulusutils running.
However I always get the info :
C:\CumulusMX\utils\bin>cumulusutils.exe website
No Cumulus.ini found. Must run in Cumulus directory!
Can someone point me here in the correct way?
Thanks

Re: CUMULUSUTILS
The entry to the wiki is here, the topic for installation here (see paragraph on running CUtils).
Note: The README (see distribution) contains the same links.
The essence is that you install it indeed separately in utils/bin below the CumulusMX directory.
You actually run it from the CumulusMX directory, giving the command:Because the CumulusMX directory is the working directory it can automatically find all files it needs.

The thing seems to be behaving well.
Not really sure about the colours but the gauges are visible function in their mouse click behaviour.
Could you please post the logfile of the website run please?
Note: while looking at the reports and graphs I noticed two important things which will affect the behaviour of the site:
- Your data seem to have holes in it (pressure 0, temp 34.5 mid januari, avg windspeed 0...)
- You really should fill in the NOAA normal values for rain and temperature in CMX

Re: CUMULUSUTILS
I don't know a WH1380 but I assume this is time synchronising. If it is it is harmless and actually a good thing.MHaf wrote: ↑Tue 14 Mar 2023 1:17 pm also since today I have this message in MX, not sure if I can ignore that??

That is a CMX thing and if you don't trust it you should make a thread in the CMX forum and ask the question there. Don't forget to post the whole CMX MXdiags log with it.
I'll look at the log you posted, back in a few minutes

Re: CUMULUSUTILS
Hi,
OK, thanks for the logs. Points below.
- The NOAA normal values are found in CMX (Settings=>NOAA settings=>Normal Mean Temperatures (and Normal Mean Precipitation). The meteorology service of your country will have those figures which represent the mean values over the last 30 years, usually recalculated every 10 years. They will have them calculated for the official meteo station closest to you. The numbers are used by CMX in the NOAA report and by CUtils in some charts. These numbers give a good understanding of the development of temperature and rain over a period of time. If you don';t have those numbers you can set the following parameters and use a mean reference of your own station:
Code: Select all
UseNormalTempReference=StationAverage UseNormalRainReference=StationAverage
- As apparently you don't have any ExtraSensors please set The logfile has the following lines:
Code: Select all
ExtraSensors=false
Before using the ExtraSensors module please get acquainted with the ChartsCompilerCode: Select all
2023-03-14 10:18:27.497 GenerateExtraSensorsCharts: Generating the ExtraSensor Charts CDL code into utils/CutilsCharts.def... 2023-03-14 10:18:27.497 Error GenerateExtraSenorsCharts: No utils/CutilsCharts.def present, can't modify 2023-03-14 10:18:27.497 Error GenerateExtraSenorsCharts: Please move CutilsCharts.def from distribution to $utils/
- I note that your website suddenly turned blue... do I need to go into the colours or do we agree it works
- You really have to review your data
- There are further no real errors in the log.

Re: CUMULUSUTILS
I forgot the following:
In your case: apparently not.
You will have to activate those in CMX and they will be sent to the FTP destination of CMX.
The status of the website tells you whether it is receiving realtime.txt and realtimegauges.txt.
In your case: apparently not.
You will have to activate those in CMX and they will be sent to the FTP destination of CMX.

Re: CUMULUSUTILS
And finally:
- Could you list your website URL in the parameter Website=https://wetter.haf.name
- Could you list your website URL in your signature on the forum, it makes support really easier.
