A little known statistic for the UK weather:

June 13th is the only day in meteorological summer that hasn't officially hit 30°C somewhere in the UK

That record looks like ending tomorrow.

Not here it won't. Highest we have had during this "hot" spell is 26.9C and today we only got to 20C. Cold wind blowing off the sea all day.

Looking back over my records you’re right. But my station has only been going since 2009. June 14-18 also failed to reach 30°C. What about 1976? I’m pretty sure it would have that year.

Today was the hottest day of the year so far up here with 32.2°C recorded. We finally had some rain earlier this evening. The first since 19 May. And I live 10 miles south of Manchester! 🤣

Nope!

The date record for June 13th was 28.3C set in 1896, 1948 and 1994.

Dorset could well be the place that gets it..
