Ecowitt not constantly uploading to Cumulus
It seems that my Ecowitt (whilst continuously recording data) is not uploading constantly to Cumulus. I have hibernate off all the time. I have attached my MsDiags file in case it is any use.

It appears that my MsDiags file did not attach. It is with this post.

Re: Ecowitt not constantly uploading to Cumulus
There is no evidence of any data failing to upload or any connection failures to your Ecowitt device, but then again it is a very short MXDiags file. What makes you think that not all data is being uploaded?
Suggest you turn on debug logging as well as data logging, and run CumulusMX until you can see some evidence of the failure (and tell us what it is) and then post the MXDiags file.

The Chart is a screen shot and shows a flat line where the problem occurs. It is also reflected on my website (redanweather.com). I have also included the latest MxDiags file.
Thanks for looking into this problem.

Re: Ecowitt not constantly uploading to Cumulus
Hi,
There appears to be a "time" issue.
Is the date/time: Tuesday, 23 April 2024 2;52:16 AM correct at the log time of 2024-04-22 16:52:21?
and the date/time: Tuesday, 23 April 2024 3:39:37 AM at the log time of 2024-04-22 17:39:42
It appears that your CMX is often stopped and then restarted and the missing data is from the stopped period, possibly caused by the time issue.
Enjoy,
Paul

Re: Ecowitt not constantly uploading to Cumulus
Your NOAA reports page states: "Error, duplicate entry in dayfile for 18/04/2024"
Like Paul says, there seems to be a discrepancy in time settings.

Re: Ecowitt not constantly uploading to Cumulus
My guess is you have the wrong time zone selected or the wrong NTP server selected in your device.

Re: Ecowitt not constantly uploading to Cumulus
Thank you for your replies.
I have removed the dayfile duplicate entries, refreshed and reloaded. The entries no longer appear in the dayfile but I still get the error message.
With regard to the time problem, I may need some guidance as to how to correct this and how to sort the NTP server question. Any suggestions would ne gratefully received.

I need to see a log file that covers a period when you are not getting data.

Re: Ecowitt not constantly uploading to Cumulus
Hi,
That would be one of the files in your CumulusMX\MXdiags\ folder like you did earlier and that covers the time when you are not getting data. You can attach more than one file, and zip if they are too large.
Enjoy,
Paul

The diags file you attached are for the 23rd April, the graph above is showing gaps in data on 22nd April. I cannot see any issues in the two log files attached, other than the PHP user does not have permission to write the public_html/Reports folder so your NOAA reports uploads are failing.
Did you also have gaps on the 23rd? If so between what times?
