Drop in temp

Post by Arnie »

Hi to all

Last Saturday (22nd Jan), here in Sydney we had a pretty warm day by 3:30pm the temp had reached 42.8c (max 43.3c). A cool change slowly arrived and by 6pm the temp had dropped a full 20 degrees down to 22.8c. At midnight it was 20.1c

In Australia we do experience very severe drops in temp

My question for the forum is "What are your experiences (from around the Cumulus world) in temperature drops. Share your readings

Here in NSW we have had some very severe "Southerley Busters" through the years where the temp can drop by say 20 degrees in less than 30 minutes

Regards to all
Cheers

Hi Phil

Your example is great, from 40c down to 15c in 2days

Does this only occur here in Australia? I would be very surprised if that's the case
