Cumulus Support

A couple of us Downunders have decided to carry on from where geoffp left off and start the Top Cumulus Sites list again.

So we have a new domain name and hopefully security that will withstand the spammers that forced the retirement of geoffp’s site.

Please add your banner to our page by clicking on “Join” and help us build up the list of Cumulus driven websites once again. Meanwhile if you have any suggestions feel free to Contact us. We plan to add more Cumulus Software information to the Navigation Bar as time allows.
You do not need a banner to join. We have made a very nice banner for those that do not have one and it will link to your website.

I've uploaded it and it nor the checkserver.php are working. I just changed the site name in the Banner.php script, is that all I need for starters?

Banner should reside at http://www.users.on.net/~cond/weather/banner.php

I could not open that page.
Yes change the site name is all and upload to where your realtime.txt is.
Also upload this font folder. I will attach. Unzip and upload the folder.

By default the banner uses those fonts. The Folder posted above needs to be uploaded as is.

I will also attach the Instructions from TNET Cumulus PHP-GD Banner page.

Good to see this site back 'in the air'..

Altona Forest Weather in Ontario, Canada has joined.
(If you guys 'downunder' are coping with some 'hot' temp, we have the smae in Canada, although you have to put a 'minus' in front of it (Winnipeg -45 C, Toronto a bit 'milder' today, with windchills of -30..........)

As long as we can keep on top of the spammers we should be right. This was the main consideration when we started to set it up on our local NZ server.

I personally have never experienced the temps well below zero as you have.
-1.0°C is about as far down as we go. I doubt I would get out of bed if I lived up there

At present our local land is brown, our water tanks depleting and our farmers stretched. But we are not complaining as Australia is far worse off.

Needlees to say I would welcome your cold at present. At least you can keep warm with clothes and heating.
With temps over 30°C other than sit in the pool or bath all day there is little else you can do to remain comfortable.
Lol come winter I will be moaning about the cold. I guess us humans are never content
