Re: Software requirement
Hi bigharps, To yv1hx: I suppose I should have been more specific instead of using the expression 'Davis literature'. There is nothing about 'archive interval' in either the Vantage Pro2 Console manual or the Vantage Pro2 Quick Reference Guide from the Davis website. I agree, me too. I found the 'ar...

Re: WM-918 / WX-200 protocol and Cumulus
Yes, that looks about right, except: it also uses dewpoint (18) from the AF packet Our station does not supply the Dewpoint figures, instead we let Cumulus to calculate it by checking the "Calculate dew point" and "Calculate wind chill" from the Station Settings screen. it only ...

Re: Black-uot
Why do you asseverate this? Of course make sense , If you have your principal drive messed up for any reason, you will lost anything (hopefully) if the data is saved in another drive.water01 wrote:Don't wish to be rude but this does not make sense.

WM-918 / WX-200 protocol and Cumulus
Steve, We are building a sentence translator to make our Vaisala WXT520 compatible with Cumulus, this translator is using the WM-918 / WX-200 stations comms protocol, as listed in http://wx200.planetfall.com/wx200.txt (I think there is other sources for this protocol also), and we "discovered&q...

Re: Data Analysis?
Has anyone here got experience with some of the more advanced statistical analysis techniques, like PCA or other multidimensional methods? Has someone released a stats package particularly good at working with weather data? And has anyone the install file for the old CLIMLAB 2000 program (or advice...

Re: Rain Bucket Modification - Fine Offset WH1081
My problem is leaves. The shallow bucket gives the wind a chance to blow the leaves off the dish. How about a screen mesh that would allow the rain to fall through but would significantly reduce splash out? I would recommend you use some rain bucket shield like this http://www.met.tamu.edu/class/me...
