Just a question re unsupported station for MX.

Topics about the Beta trials up to Build 3043, the last build by Cumulus's founder Steve Loft. It was by this time way out of Beta but Steve wanted to keep it that way until he made a decision on his and Cumulus's future.

Just a question re unsupported station for MX.

Post by mspec »

Steve , Just wondering if at any point in time there may be support for the Acurite 5 in 1 stations. I purchased one recently (knowing cumulus / MX does not support it) because I had just had enough of the ongoing issues with my fine offset one. The Acurite station so far has not missed a beat and the design of the unit is very well put together for the cost of it.

There seems to be a lot of people out their with this station and MX would be the perfect piece of kit to accompany it.

If Accurite make their protocol available, and they or someone else supply me with a station for testing, it's a possibility in the future.

Hi Steve and thanks for the reply. Completely understand what you are saying. I have managed to track this down which appears to be a python driver for it and contains a huge amount of information on how the station works.

If anything I found it to be an interesting read.

Edit: Complete thing.

Might have a play with it on my windows machine.
