Pressure Multiplier and Offset

From build 3044 the development baton passed to Mark Crossley. Mark has been responsible for all the Builds since. He has made the code available on GitHub. It is Mark's hope that others will join in this development, but at the very least he welcomes your ideas for future developments (see Cumulus MX Development suggestions).

Pressure Multiplier and Offset

Post by SunDial »

Hi,

I believe the pressure multiplier goes to a maximum four decimal places, at least I think so when I checked last. To be able to achieve the curve I need I think I need to be able to go to more decimal places; however, I was also wondering if I could make use of the offset setting to accomplish this. My multiplier is currently set at 1.0022, which works well enough at higher pressures, but at lower pressures I find it goes out and needs adjusting - I can't seem to find an accurate setting that works for both ends of the range. I tried to go to an additional number of decimal places but CMX did not accept the new setting when I set it last.

Any advice on the best way to get this right?

Thanks

I don't think the multiplier is limited to 4 dp, it's just the display rounding it to that. If you enter more digits check to see if they are saved in Cumulus.ini.

If it doesn't, you can enter the required value directly into Cumulus.ini (with CMX stopped of course).

Hi Mark,

Thank you for your reply and advice.

I will check my Cumulus.ini to see what is saved in it after trying more decimal places and edit it manually should it not be saving what I enter via the GUI calibration settings.

I will let you know what I find.

Thanks again,
Adam
