Re: 6.19.0 beta - Locale and Date display
Hi.
Have installed beta 3, but unfortunately the gauges are now blank. I have tried DA, DK and EN for language in the gauges.js file without result.
Attached logfile.
I hope you don't get tired of me

Re: 6.19.0 beta - Locale and Date display
@mingjen: aha... As it works for Andy and Jeff I guess it has to do with the language.js (the gauges language file) which required a code change as well. I did not include it looking for a fast beta (always a bad idea wanting to be fast). I'll be back late tonight so it will probably be either late or tomorrow.
Oh, and you are NOT supposed to edit the gauges.js, everything is handled by CUtils!
Oh, and I don't get tired of anything

Re: 6.19.0 beta - Locale and Date display
@mingjen: please find enclosed a new zip with modified language.js included (it now has LANG.DA as language specification for Danish). Place the file in the utils directory and run without thrifty. It should be all OK now.
@All: NOTE: the language.js for CUtils differs from the one in the CMX distribution. I will inform Mark to modify.

@mingjen: I noticed your website gauges are working perfectly. What did you do to achieve that?

Re: 6.19.0 beta - Locale and Date display
@mingjen: OK. Looks good indeed. But the strange thing is the dasboard date (clock pane) shows a dot separator while on the records page it shows a dash. Apparently C# and javascript use different definitions of the da-DK locale. I'll see if there is something to be done.

Re: 6.19.0 beta - Locale and Date display
version 3.19.0 beta 4 is attached (full release, please install and run once without thrifty).
See provisional release notes for what it contains.
Please look around, if any issue please report.
If no issues this will be more or less the release (in a week or so).
@Jeff: to appreciate the Charts/Graphs changes please use the CartsCompiler (see the wiki), a default for the definitions is in the distribution and must be renamed to CutilsCharts.def. If you don't use it you get the original - not maintained - charts which you use now.

Re: 6.19.0 beta - Locale and Date display
Hi Hans
Success! The B4 looks fine and installs OK, dates look fine and the scatter plot has an appropriate full axis
I added a scatter plot to the extra CO2 chart and that performed as expected.

Re: 6.19.0 beta - Locale and Date display
HI.
Have installed last version 6.19.0 beta 4, and it works fine (exept for the dots in the date instead of dashes, no problem)
I have atached the languagefile. Have done the missing translations in Danish. If you´ll test it and you think it is ok you can use in the next edition

@mingjen: Ah... thanks, I'll have a look and if any remarks we'll continue via PM. I'll also share it with Mark for the general update for the gauges! (good moment btw to also update your CUtils translation in the sharing thread?)mingjen wrote: ↑Mon 26 Jun 2023 3:06 pm HI.

Re: 6.19.0 beta - Locale and Date display
Hi Hans,
I have installed 6.19 on both my sites. The one using nn-NO as locale is fine, but nb-NO is not.
It is probably not your fault. The Linux locale seems to be different for the two, and that is strange.
nn/nb is the language, NO is the regional setting and should be the same for both.
Unfortunatey everything seems to be allowed in Norwegian, ., -,/ in dates. Both . and : in tIme.
I prefer . for dates and : for time, which nn-NO uses.
nb-NO uses . for both, but Cumulusutils uses : in time for the panes, but . in the records, same problem as for DK. (nb is very similar to danish).

Re: 6.19.0 beta - Locale and Date display
(first only for Steinar to see if it works)
Hmmm... those locales keep surprising me.
But your remark
(Btw. I don't see 6.19.4 on the Rjoanddalen site, only on the Kronstad site)

hit a button: many culture functions to use. I changed the function used and created beta 5 which is attached. I am curious. The Linux locale seems to be different for the two, and that is strange.
