It's a 'sharing violation' while processing an 'extra file' during the realtime ftp upload, i.e. the file is in use by another process. Is it possible that something else is trying to use the file?

Edit: Actually, it's unlikely to be another application, I've realised that the actual file in question is the temp.htm file that Cumulus produces when processing the files. How many extra files have you specified? Have you changed this recently? I still don't understand why it would happen, as Cumulus processes the extra files serially.

Welcome back to the land of the living, hope you are better.
In addition to uploading realtime.txt, I do have a small html file which is designed to allow non flash users to view wind data in "real time".
This is set to be processed and uploaded in "realtime".
Although it has been ok up utill now, presumably Cumulus is trying to do both at the same time?

If so I assume there is no way of persuading Cumulus to do them sequentially.

No other programs are set to use any of the Cumulus files

A little premature, still feeling pretty rough, but you have to make an effort...

It should be doing them sequentially (and it doesn't use the temp file for realtime.txt anyway). I wonder if the upload is timing out or something. But it checks for that anyway, and doesn't try to do an upload if the previous one is still in progress.

Do you have any "non-realtime" extra files? I've just realised that I (rather foolishly) use the same temp.htm for those, so if a realtime upload coincided with a non-realtime upload...

hould maybe have mentioned I have Cumulus set to ftp rename.
Yes, I have used all custom html files 1 10sec "realtime" upload the rest at 10mins upload intervals.
So guess that may be the "problem"?

Wow.. that was rapid.
Before I even had time to finish my "wee dram" there was an update to correct it!

Now if only I could get a builder to finish my Conservatory in the same time<BG>

Thanks

I suspect this is not related, but I have now updated to build 593 and noticed that whilst the figure for <#bearing> in custom pages processed by Cumulus in "realtime", changes correctly, the figure for <#wgust> does not. It seems to take a large variation in the order of 2-3 knots for it to change.

The flash guages using realtime.txt do however change correctly.

My fuzzy head is struggling to remember the history of this, but basically the current situation is that (as far as the web tags are concerned) <#wgust> is the highest gust in the last 10 minutes, so you would expect that not to change so frequently, and <#wlatest>, which may be what you're looking for, is the latest wind/gust reading from the station, which you might expect to change pretty much every reading.

... but none of this has changed recently, anyway, I don't think. The build you were using was only a week old.

Thanks.. I guess I thought that when <wgust> was listed as "The current wind gust reading" that meant the latest not highest in last 10 mins.
Yes <wlatest> is what I should have used in that position.
I suspect I only picked it up now because it was probably the first time I had ever had both Firefox and Iexplorer on the same system, viewing the 2 relevant pages at the same time. Thought it was peculiarities between the 2 browsers at first.

I'll try not to lead you up more "blind alleys".
Thanks for your help.

Yes, that's misleading, I'll fix it.
