Create timelapse from Jpegs - whats good?Script/app required

Ok, some background..

I run a windows 7 media centre which houses cumulus, Plex server, Ispyconnect and runs 4 HD tuners..
I'm able to run Isyconnect capturing a snap shot every 10 mins and uploaded direct to my web site, This works fine(kind of)
But the cpu cycle is up to 40% when timelapse & snaps are running and the system takes a performance hit, as this media centre is a passive cooled system, i need to keep cpu % down low.

If enabled timelapse in ispyconnect as well as the happy snaps and it's taking too much of a hit on the system..

So Ispyconnect running on this system with timelapse is not recommended !!!

The camera is a Foscam f19804w(which i'm happy with). Under the camera setup, there is an option to upload happy snaps to a ftp server, i have a NAS drive on my network, which it's happy to upload to. Now the Fosacam seems to add the name as frame "Schedule_20140225-161231"(date/frame number) then next one will be Schedule_20140225-161246. Can schedule a time from x - x(which is perfect) and uses no resources!!!(also perfect)

Now what i need is a application that can handle Jpeg and be able schedule to run, rename jpeg if needed, create MP4(only MP4), deleted all jpegs or add to folder and then finally upload to the web site. This will need to run on the media centre, but will be run in the wee hours


What would be a big big help is a script to take the most recent photo from the nas drive(uploaded from camera interface) and upload to website using cumlus instead of using Ispyconnect to monitor the video feed taking resources needed for recording TV!!!

I hope you do not think I am being rude but spamming loads of areas of the forum (I have seens at least 3 topics with this request) is not the way to get help as it just causes confusion as to which Topic to answer as well as getting different answers in different Topics.

On this forum if people can help they will, but multiple Topics on the same subject just puts people off and you don't get an answer any quicker.

original topic was for a application to do automatic timelapse, like having ispyconnect taking shots and creating a video..

as that won't work, I'm asking help with creating a time lapse from jpeg only(series of pictures)

on top of that, most of the other topics relate to another camera I has issues with(zmodo) and now have i a Foscam

I tend to agree with David that you have been all over the forum about your webcam/setup/software etc.

But to answer your question, Sebectec software will do all of what you want and more. Running two cams for me, jpegs for both into separate folders, intraday video produced and uploaded(mp4), current image and thumbnail created with time/temp/wind/gust/rainfall and then uploaded. Can make weekly, monthly or even yearly videos is you save enough photos. Will deleted photos and movies from your computer if you direct it to.

Couldn't be happier spending a little money on software, other than Cumulus of course

I have been hitting the forums a bit...

But I do agree with you on Sebectec, just pointed it to the NAS drive with the photos(not named 001,002 etc) and created a 16MB .mp4 from 994 photo's which is about 4 hours of photo's.
Now to play around with it a bit...

had it set on 20 FPS. needs a little tweaking...

Bit of a update. Ispyconnect and Sebectec use too much resources if taking stills and time lapse.
I've come up with a solution that requires no programmes to monitor the video feed.
My Foscam has the ability to upload still every x to my network NAS drive with the file name/date/frame.(no PC requires = no resources)
I then created a script to run every 10 mins to copy the latest jpg and rename, then using cumulus toolbox upload to web site.

As for time lapse, I have another script to copy jpg's, then using ffmeg commands to convert to mp4. I run a schedule task to upload every day.
About to switch that one tonight...

Just an upload, no help required...yet...

I guess I should jump in here to offer assistance regarding SebecTec. On the point of using too much resources - the SebecTec program doesn't monitor the video stream (as does Ispyconnect apparently). The SebecTec program will just sit there idle until it is time to grab a snapshot (program download is here: http://sebectec.com/ipcam/). When the time comes around it will issue the IP camera's jpeg snapshot command to grab an image. You do need to know the http snapshot command for your camera. Ispyconnect's website has a nice lookup table where you can find your jpeg snapshot command here: http://www.ispyconnect.com/sources.aspx

I should have added, ispyconnect used way too many resources and I was unable to get SebecTec to utilise my foscam FI9805W camera. It was able to use my already taken shots, but I didn't play around with it that much, before deciding to make own.
