Toolbox backup directories

Post by serowe »

daj - another one for you :)

I want to try and use the Toolbox to backup Cumulus files to a NAS unit here which is located in a separate location to our file server.

I can backup to the network BUT in order to use the File Backup Location you *must* be able to see the directory you are backing up to. For various reasons, the directory I want to use is hidden from normal view and so, the Toolbox won't let me select it.

(Ini order to get to this directory we just use the full path name in the address bar eg \\NAS-NAME\DirName.)

Toolbox doesn't let you manually add the backup location.

So - anyway around this one?

Hi

I will make a change to the next update on Toolbox to allow this. For now, you could close down Toolbox and edit the registry settings.

Run "Regedit"
Press F3 to Search for "CumulusToolBox"
There will be an entry ToolBoxBackups -- you can change the location and try that

OK thanks - it's not an important thing but nice to be able to say I can control my computer :)

And, for info, I got the auto-updates working in a way - used the Windows Scheduler - not the best way to copy the files, but it ran this morning at 9am and the history pages finally get updated automatically at 9:04am every day!
